Opportunity in the Indian E-gaming Market – Partner sought to work with Indian firm
Back in October 2009, GBGC reported on the story that the Indian state of Sikkim was in the process of issuing online gambling licences to target the Indian market.
The licence would allow for the licensee to offer casino games, poker, as well as sports betting to Indian residents.
GBGC has been working with an Indian company that is applying for one of these Sikkim licences. The company is now keen to find a partner in the online gambling sector to work with them to take advantage of the licence and offer gaming services in India.
The company already has experience of running online skill gaming in India.
In order to obtain a Sikkim licence, foreign companies must apply in a joint venture with a local company. The licence will be issued for five years, with an extension available for a further five years.
If you are interested in forming a partnership for operations in India please contact GBGC for further details of our client.
