Melco International Developments has selected the location of the temporary casinos it is permitted to run as part of its super casino licence in Cyprus. Melco has chosen sites in the capital Nicosia, Famagusta, Paphos and Larnaca for the four properties, which could begin taking bets in early 2018.
Reports in the Cypriot media state that the site in Nicosia will be close to the Hilton Park Hotel. This temporary casino will house both table games and slot machines, whilst the other three venues will only run slot machines.
The temporary casino in Limassol is believed to be planned at the site of a former supermarket to the west of the town in Zakaki, and near the proposed site of the super casino.
The main casino resort is due to be completed in 2020 and will house around 136 gaming tables and 1,200 slot machines, alongside hotel and conference facilities.
